Spend the Day at Six Flags in Arlington

If you haven’t checked “ride a wild roller coaster” or “plunge down a thrilling water slide” off your bucket list yet, now is your chance. Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor are both located in Arlington, only 25 minutes from your home at Radius at Turtle Creek. Each park has all the excitement and adventure you could ever dream of. The hardest part will be choosing whether you want to go to the water park or the theme park. Here’s what to know before you go.

Six Flags Over Texas

There’s something fun for everyone at Six Flags Over Texas. For the adrenaline junkies, there are over a dozen thrill rides including wooden coasters, an all indoor coaster, and steel coasters with some of the largest drops in the world. The brand-new “El Diablo” is now the world’s largest loop coaster. You can even check “ride in a bobsled” off your bucket list too. There are also plenty of classic rides that are more fun than scary. The roaring rapids, log flume, and carousel are all visitor favorites. Don’t forget to relax and take a ride around the park on the vintage authentic steam engine!

When you want to take a break from rides, catch some live entertainment like “Miss Ruby’s Wild West Cabaret” or sing karaoke. There are lots of fun shops with souvenirs and restaurants to grab a bite to eat as well.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

When the heat is just too much, spend a day at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. If you’re brave enough, take the 72-foot free fall down “Der Stuka.” Alternatively, try the “Dive Bomber,” which has a surprise drop. Ride several slides with more twists and turns than drops or float down the lazy river. The two huge lagoons each hold a million gallons of water. One is calm while the other produces king sizes waves like the ocean. Kids will love exploring “Hook’s Lagoon Treehouse.”
